I will pay you to surf.Really.
$1 for every foot of wave you ride. Twelve sizes, twenty bounties each. Wear SurfTracker on your Apple Watch, get someone to film the wave, send me both, and I'll Venmo you. Your rides help train a model that knows when you're surfing.
How it works
- 1
Wear the watch
Start a session in SurfTracker on your Apple Watch before you paddle out. It records motion and GPS for every wave.
- 2
Get it on video
Have a friend film from the beach. The video is how I check the height, and it's required for every claim.
- 3
Submit the wave
Send it from the SurfTracker app, or upload the session file here. Pick the wave, add the video, and tell me how big it was.
- 4
Get paid
I line the video up with the watch data and verify the size. Approved waves take a slot on the board and get paid on Venmo.
The fine print
- One bounty per wave. Heights are face height, rounded down, and my call from the video is final.
- The watch has to have been recording the wave — that data is the point.
- Once a size's twenty slots are gone, they're gone. Claims are reviewed in the order they arrive.
- Your contact and Venmo details are only used to pay you. Your video and profile are only shown if you opt in.
- Be safe. No bounty is worth surfing beyond your ability.
